COMMUNITY HOME VISIT PROGRAMME

(Follow-Up, Accountability & Sustainability Stage – Completing the Boy Child Empowerment Cycle)

At the Boy Child Unlimited Empowerment Programme, community home visits form a critical part of our follow-up and completion phase of the empowerment cycle. This stage ensures that every intervention is not only delivered, but also tracked, assessed, and sustained over time.

HOW THE PROGRAMME
WORKSCommunity home visits are conducted as part of a structured cycle that ensures continuity of support and long-term transformation.

On a quarterly basis, the programme conducts assessments to:Review the progress of each supported boyConfirm behavioural, academic, and emotional improvementEvaluate the impact of previous interventionsIdentify new or ongoing challenges at household levelStrengthen family engagement and accountability. These visits are done in collaboration with parents, guardians, teachers, and community leaders to ensure a holistic understanding of the boy’s environment.

FOLLOW-UP & ASSESSMENT PROCESS

During each home visit cycle, the following key areas are assessed:Progress of the boy since the last interventionBehavioural and emotional developmentSchool attendance and academic performanceFamily stability and support systemChallenges affecting continuity of progressLevel of mentorship and guidance uptakeBasic welfare conditions at home

HOW PROGRESS IS CONFIRMED

Progress within the empowerment cycle is confirmed when the following indicators are observed:Noticeable improvement from the previous assessment periodIncreased school attendance and participationPositive behavioural change and disciplineImproved confidence and communicationBetter engagement with mentorship programmesReduced vulnerability factors (poverty, absenteeism, neglect)
